Mustafa Haktanır (born 11 December 1979, Balıkesir) is a Turkish screenwriter, director and producer. He graduated from Uludağ University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and studied Directing and Screenwriting at the Türker İnanoğlu Foundation Cinema-TV School in Istanbul (2005-2007). From 2007 to 2014 he worked as an assistant director on numerous Turkish feature films and TV series, including Kanlı Postal, Böyle Bitmesin, Tövbeler Tövbesi, Kapalı Çarşı, Bir Bulut Olsam and Zoraki Başkan. In 2016 he completed his first feature film, 91.1, which he wrote, directed and produced. The film screened at festivals including the Antalya Film Festival and the South East European Film Festival (Paris, Berlin) and won the Best Editing Award at the 5th International Lake Van Film Festival. He was the production designer of One of Those Days When Hemme Dies (2024), winner of the Special Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival. In 2025 he wrote, directed and produced the short commercial film Macaron Kolonyası. Since 2018 he has been teaching screenwriting and filmmaking and providing script consultancy at senaryOnline, the online screenwriting school he founded.
